Course DESCRIPTION

This new QQI Level 5 Pre University Science and Biotech (5M3807) is a one-year course designed for students who wish to progress to degree-level study in science or enter employment in science related industries.

This course is suitable for:

• Students who did not achieve the required Leaving Certificate points to enter a science related discipline in University

• Students seeking a strong foundation in Science to enter the workforce in this field

• Adult learners returning to education

The programme combines classroom learning, laboratory practicals and independent study.

EDUCATIONAL PROGRESSION

Progression to higher education for learners under 23 is generally managed via the QQI routes linked to CAO. Mature students may choose to progress to a range of level 7 and 8 courses.
